Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is a rare form of extranodal non-Hodgkin's lymphoma with an overall poor prognosis. Recent reports have observed an increase in its incidence both among the patients with immunodeficient patients as well as immunocompetent individuals. This review highlights the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical profile, diagnosis, treatment modalities and prognosis of this extranodal lymphoma.
